PRODUCT DETAILS

The Rainshield is a lightweight packable waterproof coat.  This product encompasses the technology of our waterproof smocks and the lightweight properties of the Stowaway shirt. The result of which is a 400g* low profile waterproof solution.

The Rainshield has had a rework in 2019. We've had lot's of great feedback over the years from our military, police & civilian customers. Whilst it's core features have remained the same, lots of improvements have been made since it's predecessor.

The pocket configuration has been revamped and simplified for ease of use. Two side pockets, single chest pocket complete with waterproof zips & garages minimise water ingress. An Internal storm flap provides an extra layer of protection in torrential rain and wind. We've also made an Improvement to the general fit of the coat, including longer sleeves and better hood coverage.

A nice product

This jacket appears to be made to a high standard and is very comfortable. Being wide in the body and blessed with short arms, I find the sleeves quite long but underneath my B110 smock it works well. Wearing it in very windy and rainy conditions, nothing penetrated the layers and if anything, I was too warm. I look forward to giving it a trial in some proper winter weather before too long.

Nice surprise

Looks to be very good kit. I have not had the chance to really challenge it yet but fit and construction look to be very good.

Great rainjacket that packs down to really convenient size.

Great item. Does what it says. I got a size M and it works both standalone (with only baselayer under) and together with a Arktis combat smock. The size M is large enough to fit OVER a size M combat smock, even though Arktis suggest that you use it under the smock.
The cut enables full range of movement. The pocket configuration is exactly what you need on this type of jacket.
If you want something more shape-fitting, definitely go a size down.
Overall great product, and the value for money is great.

I'm blown away by the quality of this piece. Everything is well thought out design wise. This coat is on another level. You will not find a better version of this anywhere and the value is tremendous. A well earned 5 star rating. If you are considering a purchase and needed a nudge this is it. Buy one for yourself.

Free shipping is available for UK orders over £240. Also for all orders, you can get a free D200 face mask in Navy.
Please note that a standard Arktis jacket weighs approximately 2kg, so it is advisable to buy several items at the same time, in order to get the best value for shipping and to save on this cost in the future.
 
 
Whilst we aim to get all of our orders within a few days but please allow up to a week for dispatch and sourcing of items. In rare cases, we list part made items which require us to finish the products. PO Boxes are extremely difficult to send to. To avoid any delay a full address is preferred. We are able to send up to 2KG via Royal Mail worldwide, but anything above this weight we are unable to send. We will contact you for an alternate address. 
 
VAT:
 
Orders placed in the UK, are required to pay VAT with each purchase. This cost is 20% of the purchase price, and will be included in the final price at checkout.
 
Countries outside of the UK including the EU are exempt from this; however, purchases may be subject to VAT & customs charges upon arrival. A small administration fee is also usually charged by customs.
  
*for really remote areas, delivery might take an extra day or two. (Planning an expedition up a mountain takes time ;)

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe locations for deliveries to be received. Our couriers prefer signed delivery but will deliver to safe locations when instructed by customers. We do not accept liability for packages being stolen from a customers designated safe location.
