PRODUCT DETAILS

The Rainshield is a lightweight packable waterproof coat. This product encompasses the technology of our waterproof smocks and the lightweight properties of the Stowaway shirt. The result of which is a 400g* low profile waterproof solution.

The Rainshield has had a rework in 2019. We've had lot's of great feedback over the years from our military, police & civilian customers. Whilst it's core features have remained the same, lots of improvements have been made since it's predecessor.

The pocket configuration has been revamped and simplified for ease of use. Two side pockets, single chest pocket complete with waterproof zips & garages minimise water ingress. An Internal storm flap provides an extra layer of protection in torrential rain and wind. We've also made an Improvement to the general fit of the coat, including longer sleeves and better hood coverage.

I like this jacket, but...

We're in our rainy season. This jacket is nice, but I wish it had shoulder pockets with velcro.

Great Kit

I have a 48 inch chest and ordered an XL. Fit is generous, which I like, as I often wear a BDU top and T-Shirt underneath. I made a 2 hour ruck movement up hilly terrain in western Tennessee in October, temp was about 78F and very humid and I was fine. Once the rain stopped I did take the layer off, but I was dry. I estimated my rucksack weight to be about 45lbs.

I would recommend getting this layer if you're on the fence, you won't regret it.

Free shipping is available for UK orders over £240. Also for all orders, you can get a free D200 face mask in Navy.

Please note that a standard Arktis jacket weighs approximately 2kg, so it is advisable to buy several items at the same time, in order to get the best value for shipping and to save on this cost in the future.

Whilst we aim to get all of our orders within a few days but please allow up to a week for dispatch and sourcing of items. In rare cases, we list part made items which require us to finish the products. In these cases, waiting time can be up to a week. You can always CONTACT US if you are unsure.

PO BOXES:

PO Boxes are extremely difficult to send to. To avoid any delay a full address is preferred. We are able to send up to 2KG via Royal Mail worldwide, but anything above this weight we are unable to send. We will contact you for an alternate address.

VAT:

Orders placed in the UK, are required to pay VAT with each purchase. This cost is 20% of the purchase price, and will be included in the final price at checkout.

Countries outside of the UK including the EU are exempt from this; however, purchases may be subject to VAT & customs charges upon arrival. A small administration fee is also usually charged by customs.
