*If you are planning to wear without body armour/ tac vets. You will usually need to size down, please check the size guide*

The classic Avenger has quickly become our bestselling coat. Entrusted by many to brave the elements and perform in extreme circumstances, it is currently in service with Police forces all over the UK, including firearms and dog handling units. It has also been in action with the Royal Household and is continually being picked up by Security Forces around the world.

The Avenger is EN343:2019 Class 4:4 certified. The highest level of waterproof, and breathability rating achievable within this certification.

With practicality and comfort in mind, the Avenger was designed as a '3 in 1' system. The main coat is made of 50/50 Ripstop with a waterproof dropliner and taped seams. The outer coat can be worn by itself in warmer conditions. If the climate is colder, then the fleece jacket can be attached to the inside of the coat providing a complete dry and warm environment for the wearer. The fleece can also be worn by itself as a standalone jacket if the waterproof element is not required. With three configurations for different conditions, the Avenger continues to be a very versatile coat.

The jacket also contains drop down panels for police/ security badges to attach. These can be hidden for civilian and covert use. A total of twelve pockets feature on the Avenger, two of which are on the zip-in fleece and vary in size and use.

Hell of a Jacket

This thing is a beast; pockets for days, super warm and dry, and great coverage from the elements.

Ran this during a weekend event where we had a months worth of rain in 24hrs, and I managed to stay warm and dry. At one point I dropped my chest rig for a few hours and ran with just the vest and pockets - fit a couple spare mags, radio, snacks etc that I needed to keep going. The polar fleece liner is also just a good jersey on its own.

It is a large jacket (both in bulk and length) - great for coverage and keeping you warm, but not a "high-speed" bit of kit as such and does take up a bit of room in a ruck.
Note: it is quite a bit oversized to allow for layering, so if you're going to run it without the liner may pay to size down.

Thick and warm.

Received my jacket today and its really thick, robust, warm.
Current weather in Sweden right now is - 14c with strong cold winds. I was out for a 2 hour walk and couldn't feel any wind or cold, just warm and snug with nothing but a t-shirt under. If you are contemplating a purchase, do it. Definitely worth the money.
If you are planning to use it without body armor, definitely size 1 down as suggested.

Good coat

Warm, comfortable, waterproof and durable plus realistic sizing. I also have the version issued to police, that has a couple of features this is missing- the single fleece attachment point at the wrist is insufficient, police coat has two and this coat needs two. A fleece liner in the hand warmer pockets would be nice and they could angle downward move for better retention. Finally the police version has ‘seating pad’ built in.
Minor quibbles on a great coat. Also I had to go up one size from the police issue version.
I would also be interested to see a pertex / pile style liner, like the mammoth shirt but as a jacket/ inner liner to this coat.

SIZE & FIT

Measurements in CM.

This garment has a classic "true to size" fit. If wearing armour or thick layers beneath, you will need to size up.
