The B420 Spirit is a light insulation mid-layer designed to enhance the thermal performance of the Vulcan or Stealth jacket, elevating them to extreme cold conditions without adding bulk. Like all of our Elite range it is packed with features, a storm collar for wind protection without the need for a hood, and a dropped hem at the back that provides additional coverage while staying hidden under the Vulcan.
The jacket includes two concealed chest pockets, two zipped hand warmer pockets, and a right-hand chest inner pocket that doubles as a stuff sack for easy packing. All outer pockets are lined with brushed Tricot poly for comfort, while the durable nylon ripstop outer shell and windproof, DWR-treated liner offer protection from the elements. The front zip has a lightly insulated guard to minimise heat loss, and a smart cord-lock hem adjustment ensures a secure, custom fit. The sleeves are ergonomically tapered with extra elastic inner cuffs for comfort and mobility.
Using industry-leading CLO Vivo Teknica perforated insulation technology, the B420 Spirit provides 60 grams of insulation on the body and sleeves, with a lighter 40 grams under the arms for better temperature regulation. The lighter insulation is arranged with vertical baffling under the arms to enhance airflow and flexibility. Designed to fit seamlessly with the Vulcan jacket, the B420 Spirit is the perfect mid-layer for extreme cold weather conditions.
