Born from a request by the British SAS for a light weight, yet warm garment - we developed the A212.
The Mil-Spec, minirip outer blocks the wind and wet. The shoulders and elbows are reinforced by generous cuts of durable PU that ward off abrasion.
The sides are zip-adjustable for easy donning as well as venting to prevent over heating. In addition, the zipper sides allow for holster accommodation and ease of access to your sidearm whenever needed.

I really wanted to like the A212 and it's close to being a great garment. It's warm, soft on the inside but robust on the outside with vents to help with temperature management. It fits well underneath a plate carrier as well as chest rigs like the M170 Classic. I actually like the sleeve design too, good for working around a campsite when it gets colder for example.
The biggest drawback for me was the fit under the armpits - they are very tight to the point where movement is slightly restricted and I found myself getting a bit too hot in that area. This wouldn't have been much of a problem if the zip vents on the sides extended further up the garment, but they stop at the bottom of the armpit. I wouldn't recommend the A212 to people with wide lats or a V-taper physique because of this.
Also it would have been nice if the French CE colours matched other Arktis CE products (The picture is of an Arktis Boonie in French CE next to the A212 SWAT shirt and as you can see the colours are very different!).
Dear valued customer,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our A212 Reinforced SWAT Shirt in French CE. We are glad to hear that you found it warm, soft, and robust with helpful vents for temperature management. We also appreciate your feedback on the sleeve design and its compatibility with plate carriers and chest rigs.
We apologise for any discomfort caused by the tight fit under the armpits. We will definitely take this into consideration for future improvements to the design. We also understand your disappointment with the color not matching other Arktis CE products. What I wanted to mention on this is, that with new batches, that come from our factories, can and will sometimes has a slight variation, with both items being either a polycotton and nylon fabric, there will be slight variations. Though I appreciate the comments on this one.
Thank you again for your review and for choosing Arktis. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Best regards,
The Arktis Team
Great top. Warm and wind proof but with the most stupidly long sleeves I’ve ever seen. I am definitely average arm length. Suits and shirts fit fine. Other Artois coats and tops fit fine. All I can think of is I’ve got a duff one. Got it at sale price so was really happy. But it’s going to need a bit of seamstressing to make it better. You can see in the photo the top is on the bottom with an Artkis xxxl mammoth shirt on top. There is a huge difference in sleeve length. Even with the thumb looped ends. The A212 top is XXL. Crazy design
Thanks for your review and for picking up the A212. The sleeve length can definitely feel unusual compared to everyday clothing, but it's a deliberate part of the design. The extra length is there so the sleeves don't ride up when you're reaching or climbing, they sit properly under body armour or outer layers, and they overlap neatly with gloves to avoid leaving skin exposed.
That said, we know it can take some getting used to if you're not wearing it in that context. We're glad to hear you're happy with the warmth and windproofing; your feedback is always valuable to our design team.
