Around the 20/20K waterproof dropliner with taped seams is a minirip nylon shell. Protecting the dropliner from damage and adding an initial layer of water repellency with a DWR treatment, without adding excess weight, even with a rear pocket.
The result of which is a 300g* low-profile waterproof solution, with a draw cord waist and velcro adjustment cuff to get the perfect fit.
