An athletic fit fleece utilising top-of-the-range technical materials. Built with an advanced microfibre fleece with excellent anti-piling properties, the ergonomic fit keeps the insulating layer close to your body without pushing away any outer layers. Using the thumb holes in the sleeve and quarter zip collar gives you the option to get properly tucked in if needed. Balancing warmth, bulk and comfort, the Ocelot is a great addition to any layering system.
- Anti-Piling Micro Fleece construction
- Quarter zip collar
- Thumb hole sleeves
- Athletic fit designed to follow the body with raglan sleeves
- Multi-panel design for breathability and flexibility

The A190 Ocelot Fleece is snug fitting, e.g when I take it off by pulling it up over my head (I wear it over a black merino wool T-shirt) if I don't have my T-shirt tucked into my trousers, the T-shirt will come off with it. I ordered a Medium based on my recently bought ARKTIS Contact Jacket in Medium, so the sizing is correct/true to size. It is snug around the neck and chest (for me at least, I have a 'largish' neck) but you can still move in it. The inside material is soft, not itchy. I'm clean shaven and when I go to work with the collar fully zipped up there's no itchiness or irritation. I wear it in an urban environment, just commuting to work, etc. If you were far more physically active and still wanted to have the collar zipped up all the way, no 'unzipping it down' I would consider the next size up. But I'd still recommend ordering a true size first as it may still be okay for your physique. The sleeves are the correct length (for my true size), ending at the wrist, but I can still stretch them down using the sleeve end thumb holes if I wanted too. Both the sleeve end cuffs and the waist bottom end edge has an elastic hem so the 'ends' stay snug and don't 'flop around'/aren't loose. I wear my watch (Casio Duro) over my left sleeve instead of under it as the sleeves are snug, an easy fix. My combination for winter (Sydney, Australia) is my black merino wool T-shirt, ARKTIS A190 Ocelot Fleece (relying on the high snug zip up collar for warmth and wind protection), black ARKTIS Contact Jacket (outer shell), and black ARKTIS C111 Cargo Trousers (with joggers). I've found the A190 Ocelot Fleece works well as a mid-layer garment in this configuration.
Hello Darin,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review of the A190 Ocelot Fleece.
We're delighted to hear that the fleece is performing well as a mid-layer in your winter layering system and that it's pairing effectively with your Contact Jacket and C111 Cargo Trousers.
It's also great to know that you've found the fleece comfortable against the skin, with no irritation around the collar when fully zipped, and that features such as the thumb holes, elasticated cuffs, and hem are working as intended.
We particularly appreciate your comments regarding the fit. The A190 is designed to provide a close-fitting profile to maximise warmth and layering efficiency, so it's helpful for other customers to hear your insight on sizing and how it compares to our Contact Jacket.
As you've highlighted, those with broader necks or who anticipate higher activity levels may prefer to consider sizing up depending on their personal fit preference.
Thank you again for sharing your experience and for your continued support of ARKTIS. It's always rewarding to hear how our products are being used in real-world conditions—from the field to the daily commute—and we're pleased the A190 has become a valuable part of your cold-weather kit.
Stay safe and enjoy the Australian winter.
Regards,
