New for 2024, the Ferrers is a casual shirt for those who demand more from their clothes. Built with the standard Arktis engineered quality as part of our Weekender Collection, boasting a comfortable and casual fit with military function and styling.
This limited-edition run is built with our gabardine fabric, bringing a softer finish than our ripstop for comfort while increasing wind resistance with finely woven cotton fabric. Coupled with a DWR treatment to keep you functioning in even more conditions while keeping that lightweight casual style.
A full-length storm flap covers the button up front with our classic slot buttons, also found on the two chest pockets sized perfectly for notepads or devices. The sleeves are ready to be worn down and snug to the wrist or rolled up "hero-sleeve" style thanks to the wrist buttons and dress-style sleeve cut.

For decades, gabardine was a staple in military-issued uniforms, valued for its lightweight comfort and breathable qualities, making it a go-to fabric in harsh environments. Over time, it became particularly popular in smocks, where its soft drape and ability to block wind made it the ideal choice for outdoor and military use. Even though synthetic Ripstop fabrics have gained dominance in recent years, especially in the uniform market, gabardine has retained a strong following for its comfort and wind resistance. For many missions, the soft, well-fitted drape of gabardine still outperforms the rigidity of ripstop fabrics. With this in mind, we combined it into the Weekender Range, designed to offer well-fitting, comfortable garments that combine function, comfort, and the lasting durability that Arktis is known for.
